What To Bring

Currency:  You won't need to change money. Just bring USD and in smaller bills. The dollar goes very far here and you don't want to be stuck with nothing but twenties.

Bug Spray / Zika: It's a tropical climate, so it's a good thing to have plenty of bug repellent regardless. If you are especially concerned about Zika, we encourage you to read more. The CDC Website has the most up-to-date information. Click here for more info.  For a good overview of the disease and to parse some of the rumors from the science we recommend this: "Science Vs." podcast.

Groceries: The grocery store in Granada, La Colonia, is a great place to stock up on groceries if you will be staying in Rancho for a while. La Colonia has beer and booze as well. There is also a Maxi Pali supermarket in Tola which is closer to Rancho Santana.

Shoes: The ranch sprawls over several different types of terrain. If you are interested in hiking, biking or horseback riding you will want a shoe that provides treads and covers your toes.

What to wear to the Ceremony?: We've designated "Beach Formal" as the attire for the wedding. For men this means summer suits and for women a more formal summer dress.

Heels at the Ceremony? Ladies, you can wear heels, but be sensible.

Power Adaptor: No need for a power adaptor as Nicaragua uses the same electrical current and outlets as the United States (110 volt/60mz)

Weather: It's hot this time of year, mid-80s to mid-90s during the day, but it cools off at night so something lightweight to throw over is a good idea.
